Shah is a young Hazara man from Afghanistan. He writes and illustrates this blog because he is working hard to change the world.
Shah left his homeland to escape persecution and violent harassment. He embarked on a solitary, bold adventure seeking his freedom.
The illegal border protection policies of Australia have temporarily blocked his path but Shah intends to journey on first chance he gets.

Shah is a barber, tailor, football player and unique artist. He draws and writes about the FREEDOM he has discovered even while his body is held in an Indonesian prison for refugees. He sees himself as an illegally held Political Prisoner, not a victim and refuses to live like one.
He does not think of wire or fences or fear or waiting....he is far too busy dreaming free. Shah writes and draws daily and has created beautiful greeting cards for sale to fund his own sponsorship to a new land and a new life. He grows stronger and more ready by the day.

This blog is for all those who have found themselves trapped and the road blocked. It is about discovering that what is truly important is not what surrounds us and not what holds us but what is within us. He shares about the love and power and magic that he has found within, that all of us must find within, if we are to continue our quest or follow our path to the beautiful life that is our right and our truth.
